The Heavener Complex is the University of Florida's eco-friendly, highly sustainable, athletic-focused Gator recruiting magnet.

The design includes the Gator Room, an expanded strength & conditioning room (doubling its original size), an impressive entry, hall of fame and lobby area leading to football offices which will greet recruits, parents and donors. An additional WOW factor comes with the complex's energy-saving features, which exceed state and national standards by 35%. Contributing to the energy savings are efficient lighting, light-colored roofing and concrete pavement on the plaza; low flow fixtures, dual-flush toilets, regional materials, low-e glazing, recycling of 75% of construction waste and a green roof with palm trees. Additionally, 100% of the building's irrigation is reclaimed water.   The extensive hardscape needed to accommodate thousands of fans on any given Saturday is dotted with well-placed landscape planters, including a three tiered green roof planter adjacent to Gate 18 of the stadium, providing a balance that allows the site to function well on game day as well as the rest of the year. The inclusion of the iconic "Bull Gator" gave the University a postcard moment, quickly becoming the most photographed place on the entire University of Florida campus.   With the help of žžƵ's multimedia designers, hall of fame plaques with photos and biographies of some of the University's best athletes throughout history are proudly displayed, and exterior granite pavers in the plaza highlight the many generous contributors to the building.
